Big News & Sweet Shoes

I’ve mentioned before that my love of hiking is a pretty new found thing. I spent years dreading the miles due to sore legs and battered feet. I tried one pair of boots after another, but nothing could get me from “Why am I doing this?” to “When can we go again?”. On a whim and suggestion from a friend, I found my feet in a pair of Oboz… the day before setting out on a 10 mile hike. Not usually a good idea! Much to my surprise though, my new boots rocked. We may have gotten lost and learnt lots of lessons that day, but my feet were finally not the problem. Since then, my Oboz and I have put dozens of miles on the trails together in every season.

With that being said, I have some BIG news. Ready?

TrailTeamLogo-2015Oboz picked me to be part of their 2015 ambassador program and I am beyond honored! I’m not one to back a company or products without wholeheartedly being behind everything they stand for, but Oboz was a no-brainer. Besides having excellent products, they’re an awesome company with fantastic staff, designers, and a great ideals. They even plant a tree for every pair of boots sold, and who doesn’t like trees. Also they’re a dog friendly company that runs their office on windpower in Bozeman, MT (stunning), so I’m kind of in love. At least the feeling appears mutual. 😉

So what does being an Oboz Trail Team ambassador entail? Details are still coming out as we go, but so far I know that I get to enjoy a few more pairs of boots, share my trail experiences on their new blog (Trail Tales), and provide feedback when possible. Easy enough! It’s fair to say you’ll be hearing a lot more about Oboz from me in the next year. For now, be sure to visit Trail Tales and meet the other 2015 ambassadors. It’s a good crew!

Happy hiking!
